| AW Lunchbox Lecture - Recycling Gypsum Wall BoardDate: 10/8/2009 Description
Recycling Gypsum Wall Boardpresented by Renée GrattonAs is the case for any fabric, the use and continued re-use of the urban fabric needs to be considered, or else it will fade and the edges fray. Gypsum wall board is one of the most common construction materials in both residential and commercial buildings, yet few understand all the possibilities, limitations and environmental issues surrounding its manufacture, use and disposal. Come join us as the CRI (Construction Recycling Initiatives) Task Group addresses this subject including landfill issues, recycled content and recycling of gypsum wallboard waste, and how it impacts all stakeholders within the National Capital Region. BioRenée Gratton, LEED A.P., is a graduate of the Algonquin College Architectural Program and has been in the construction industry for 25 years, from interiors to general contracting. She is an agent for architectural specialty products and acoustical treatment and provides environmental consulting services. Renée is also an active volunteer with ORSA’s and ARIDO's educational program. Other positions Renée holds within our community are: Contact InformationName: Renée Gratton |
