Architecture has been a favourite subject of School of the Photographic Arts: Ottawa (SPAO) creators since its founding in 2005. This year, SPAO has been invited to participate in the Ottawa Regional Society of Architects' (ORSA) Architecture Week, from October 2nd to October 9th, 2009. Photography has been described as “Building with light.” The two-part exhibition presented by SPAO entitled Imaging the Urban Fabric, is a celebration of the visual kinship between architecture and photography that has existed since photography's invention. Students, instructors and alumni of the SPAO Portfolio Program have submitted their best architectural photographs on the theme “Ottawa, the Urban Fabric” to be juried. Selected works in a variety of photo media will be on view in SPAO's Red Wall Gallery and/or displayed in the NCC Info Centre during Architecture Week. Contact InformationName: Khalia Scott |
