Description

BECOR is pleased to host this one-day seminar in which opportunities in enhancing the performance of our building enclosures, whether in new construction or renewing our existing stock, will be presented.

The morning session will focus on new Quality Assurance Protocols for the design and installation of EIFS wall assemblies. The afternoon presentations will focus on opportunities and strategies to improve the energy performance for the retrofit or renewal of our building stock, including a major initiative (the Tower Renewals Project) by the City of Toronto to improve the condition and performance of it’s building stock. Results will also be presented from an ongoing research project whose objective is to review and assess the effects of building enclosure improvements on the space conditioning energy use in typical high-rise residential buildings and then to develop better strategies to take into account enclosure repairs, energy conservation and greenhouse gas emissions.
